Long needed update

September 13, 2011

It has been a long time since my last update on the site and on the blog! Keep posted as something is in the works that is exciting! A new, better structured, feature rich user interface is in the works! Also in the plans are long awaited paid functionality! Each account will have options to upgrade functionality including a premium server placement with webspace for super performance boosts for interfacing with your database!

Growth – New Features

April 27, 2011

We are growing tremendously. I have noticed also that there are a good portion of users who do not continue using our services once they have signed up. I’m going to be doing a survey to see why this is the case. We are greatly appreciative of those of you who have continued to use our service. If you have reached your quota limit, please be on the lookout for automated emails to warn you of approaching quotas.

Are any of you looking for jobs? I’m going to be setting up a feature hopefully soon in which employers can post jobs on our website and be referred through us to MySQL or Linux positions. I am hoping to implement with that the ability to auto ‘aggregate’ job positions from all the major job forums such as monster.com, careerbuilder.com, etc.

Eventually we will be adding a paid service in which you can “subscribe” to higher quotas. Some of the additional features you can “subscribe” to will be increased concurrent connections, database replication, and even a shared space with your username.mysqlforfree.com as a web location in which you can upload php pages to make your database backend faster for your applications and have a hosting space! We do not have a time frame for this implementation yet, however we will notify you all by email and here when these are complete!
